Where?

Shot at the Fakenham Racecourse

When?

1st Shoot is 10am, Sunday 13th November - so plenty of time to recover from the hangover (or late bed time if you are a junior) from the Club Dinner on the 11th!

What?

3 dozen arrows at 30m on an 80cm face - same as 2nd half of the Selby!

How does it work?

This is a Postal Competition - so no travels or hosting of other clubs involved.

The competition is split into leagues of six teams and each month you compete against a different team, until all teams have competed against each other.

The teams for the postal competition are made up of the best three Compound scores and the best three Recurve scores.  There is no separate league for Barebow or Longbow and so their scores are included in the Recurve section - Importantly, don't think that counts you out - Barebowers made the team last year!

At the end of March after all matches have been shot the winning team are presented with medals (4 per team) – these usually arrive in August!!!  There are also awards for the highest overall scores for ladies, gents and juniors in either bow type.

What do I need to do?

Simple:

  • Turn up
  • Wear warm clothes - strongly advised (except for Fraser who just turns up in a shirt and tries to actually get frostbite!)
  • Shoot the round - 3 dozen in ends of 6 usually takes around an hour
  • Enjoy Nicola's excellent sausage rolls

Pics from last year!
